The fabric is the brief
We did not start a fashion house. We returned to one.
Our family has worked cloth for generations. Handloom weaving carried along the silk routes of South Asia, the craft our forebears knew as Soot Katna. For centuries, the finest materials and the deepest knowledge of them came from these hands. Much of it was later borrowed, relabelled, and sold back to the world without a name.
VALAJI MILANO is the repeatable tier of that house. We begin with the fibre, organic cotton, hemp, banana and orange, and let the cloth decide the cut. Made in Milano, in small considered runs, to be kept rather than replaced. This is not nostalgia. It is provenance.
